The Big Adventure’s vote for Best Oscar Animated Short:

So, after viewing all the nominated shorts yesterday (along with three additional films from the Academy’s shortlist), the general consensus is that The Lady and The Reaper (La Dama y La La Muertre) from Spain should win the Oscar tonight. It was touching, funny, creative and just enjoyable to watch. The film managed to tell a great story in about eight busy minutes without a touch of dialogue. Great stuff. Two other films, Granny O'Grimm's Sleeping Beauty (truly hilarious) and A Matter Of Loaf and Death (“Help me Gromit! I’ve got a bomb in me pants!”), also received high praise from the crew on the Big Adventure yesterday.

Success!

Without a doubt, yesterday’s Film Big Adventure truly was one our best Big Adventures yet! Spanning 12 hours, six locations, a combined 80+ blocks over Manhattan, and a lot of drinks, everyone helped make the Big Adventure lived up to its namesake. Thanks to all that came out yesterday. We definitely hope everyone. had as great a time as we did. Should have some pictures posted online in the next couple of days and we invite you to share your own photos as well.

And since it is never too soon to start thinking about the next Big Adventure, we’re already working on plans for the next one. Stay tuned for more info in upcoming weeks…
